Canada denies refugee status to U.S. war resister

It makes me sick that we have a conservative government and the things I always thought Canada would stand for are no longer. Robin Long, a 25-year-old tank commander fled to Canada to avoid the U.S. invasion of Iraq, will be the first war resister to be deported and abandoned by the Harper government.
