This Fall, feathers continue to be a trend many designers used in their garments. Nothing says Boho Chic like feathers. Although, the pioneers of the feather trend did not get immediately embraced by the public and the fashion industry. Of course I'm referring to Bjork's infamous swan dress she wore to the 2001 Oscars. Personally I wish more musicians/actors would experiment on the red carpet. I mean they are suppose to be artists, not walking clothes hangers. Fashion police aftershows celebrate boring black dresses and criticize a risk, putting fear into self-expression. (Conspiracy?) Not to say people have to like the swan dress but appreciate the breathe of air Bjork and other risk takers bring to a life-less, ultra-normal red carpet. Up with inspiration! Down with boring!
