Day Three--L'Oreal Toronto Fashion Week

The third day of fashion week is when things start to heat up. Some of the most exciting Canadian talent is on display tonight, including my fav Andy The'Anh!
Today's line up:
Carlie Wong
Zoran Dobric
Playdead Cult & Damzels in this dress
Evan Biddell
Thien Le
Andy The'Anh
Joe Fresh Style

Excitement! The best places to party tonight are Ultra Supper Club where Guess will be doing a little runway show featuring Caridee English aka America's next top model winner. What happend to Canada's next top model winners? Sure internationally they would inevitably fade into the background...but did they land a runway gig in their own country....hmm research is needed.
Also Evan Biddell, winner of Project Runway and masterful designer, will be having his runway after party at The Burroughes Building at Queen/ Bathurst. Live performances by the Golden Girls and Tuxedo Mask....I'm intrigued.
Last night, Fashion Show regulars David Dixon and Joeffer Caoc showcased their Spring 2009 collections.
David Dixon had some hits and some misses. I actually like the choice of colour used in many of the garments, which was a orange-red. Bright, Bold and very spring...but not a typical choice. I adore the look of the knee length-bubble skirts. Many classic shapes for cocktail hour or sophisticated office wear. Although, the navy with white flowers print was hideous and the wide-leg capri are pretty unforgivable.
Joeffer Caoc decided to avoid colour and went for his normal white and black palate with the exception of beige (which by the way I declared my new neutral.) Very clean and classic collection , however it was all a little too old for me and the models looked awkward wearing clothes meant for a older demographic.
I have to say hurrah for personally when it came to Nada Spring 2009 collection. Although a lot of white was used throughout the collection, plaids, purple, gold and texture illuminated the runway against a lively orange backdrop.
